I went to the thrift store looking for a chest of drawers in which to keep (some of) my yarn in my new craft room and found this. Immediately I fell in love. Originally I thought I wouldn't paint it, but now I'm not so sure. I guess the biggest reason I'm considering paint is because most everything in the room is bright. There is one desk with a light wood finish. Opinions?
the lip at the top is my favorite part.

Hmm tricky, I think it would be awesome painted though!
First off, the wall color looks like my kitchen color! YAY! And, I think with all of the bright around it, keeping the natural color of the wood might help it to stand out.
Super find! I think painted would be super cute - but it is a pretty sweet piece if you don't feel like messing with it.

How tall is it? Regular dresser height?
pretty much, Anch. I think it's slightly taller than the girls' four drawer dressers (thought maybe not). It isn't really tall and it isn't really short. I think I'm going to leave it. I remembered that the floor is hardwood and the sewing machine has woodish-looking laminate. Oh and I painted a wall darkish brown. It will be at home among the bright colors, I believe.
